Couples-Focused Group Counselling

Seeking an opportunity to learn more about yourself and your spouse? Interested in a low-fee alternative to couples counselling? Starting in late September 2019, local Psychotherapists Adam Terpstra and Kali May will be facilitating a group counselling session for couples following the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model.

This group is for participants who are interested in an emotionally-focused group therapy process that focuses on learning basic skills for understanding your own behaviour and emotions in identify underlying cognitive painbodies while learning more about your spouse and their behaviours, emotions, and cognitions.

Psychoeducational at first, this group will become increasingly interactive within couples independent of the group then as a collective as a general learning experience.


Duration: 12 Weeks

Starting: Late September (21 or 28)

When: Saturdays, 5PM - 7PM

Where: Picton United Church - Millennium Hall

Cost: $420 Per Participant (Due at Registration)

Do you have extended health benefits? You might be able to submit these costs for reimbursement to your extended health benefits if you have coverage for psychotherapy or social work.

The group will commence if a minimum of 4 couples (8 participants) enroll with a maximum of 6 couples (12 participants).
