About Linda

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University in 2000 and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in 2003. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2003, working with a diverse client population ranging from young adults to the older adult. I have extensive experience with assisting individuals who feel overwhelmed by the demands of daily living and/or who are responding to a crisis such as the end of a relationship, a traumatic injury, chronic illness, or pain. In addition to my psychotherapy experience, my approach is also informed by my long history of teaching in the health and wellness field as a certified fitness, yoga, and movement instructor. I am also a part-time college instructor.

My approach is client centred and informed by a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Adlerian Therapy. I am passionate about the importance of empowering individuals by identifying and building on their strengths while providing concrete tools and strategies that allow them to positively impact their mood, relationships, and daily functioning. My areas of interest and experience include: anger management, anxiety, chronic pain, depression, PTSD/trauma, stress management, and women’s issues.

Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.

In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.

Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
