About Adam
When navigating trauma, identity, and relationships, you may carry the quieter question: “Why does this still feel so hard?” Clients often come to me when they feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite explain – whether that’s in relationships, self-worth, or emotional reactions that feel bigger than the present moment. Together, we slow things down and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, so change feels less like “fixing” and more like coming into alignment with yourself. Over the past decade, I’ve supported individuals through anxiety, complex trauma, depression, and experiences related to belonging, gender, and sexuality. My work is grounded in the belief that symptoms aren’t random – they’re meaningful adaptations to life experiences that deserve to be understood, not just managed.
I was raised in Prince Edward County, Ontario, and now live full-time in Dawson City, Yukon. These places shape how I practice. In the North, access to consistent, meaningful mental health care can be limited, and I’ve built my practice with a strong commitment to continuity, presence, and community connection. At the same time, maintaining roots in Ontario allows me to stay connected to the systems and communities many of my clients continue to navigate. As a gay man, I’m committed to creating a space that is affirming, grounded, and emotionally honest. Therapy with me is collaborative and direct, but also warm and attuned – we can hold insight and humour, depth and practicality, often in the same conversation.
My approach integrates Attachment Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic and narrative practices. In plain terms, this means we pay attention not just to your thoughts, but to your emotional world, your body, your history, and the parts of you that have learned how to survive. I primarily work with adults (21+) and offer therapy online and by phone, with occasional in-person availability in Toronto.

Cancellation Policy
When you book a session, your clinician reserves their time for you. In the event that you will be unable to keep an appointment, please notify your clinician at least 24 hours in advance, so that someone else may utilize the time. Similarly, when your clinician is unable to keep the appointment with you, they will give you more than a 24-hour notice and rebook to another date and time.
In the case whereby you are unable to provide 24-hour cancellation notice (e.g., you cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment [i.e., the same day] or do not show up for a scheduled appointment), unless for emergency reasons (e.g., medical or family emergencies), you will be charged the fee for your session and payment will be required at your next scheduled session.
Note: Employee Assistance Programs and other insurance-based programs will not reimburse you, the client, for missed appointment costs.
